Dvergfossen in Kvinesdal

Dvergfossen power plant is located in Kvinesdal municipality in Agder. By utilizing two Francis turbines, the power plant has an annual production of 31 GWh, and will supply 1,560 households with electricity. The power plant has been in operation since August 2022. The official opening was held on September 13th.2023 by the mayor of the municipality Per Sverre Kvinlaug and landowner Ole Jerdal.

The power station has two Francis turbines in an open pit. The superstructure is located at the downstream part of the facility. The building is placed above the open pit on a slope towards the terrain, and provides a good adaption to the landscape in both form and materials.
