The minimum water flow requirement will depend on the inflow. The power plant shall be operated smoothly and in line with the inflow.
If the inflow is less than the minimum water flow requirement, the entire inflow shall be allowed to pass.
NVE believes that a year-round minimum water flow is required to maintain the life cycle of benthic species. This will also help to ensure living conditions for any sporadic occurrence of anadromous salmonid fish.
