Vangjolo in Voss
Vangjolo power plant is located in Voss Municipality in Vestland. The power plant will have an annual production of 26.7 GWh, which provides around 1300 households with electricity. The power plant has been in operation since 2017.

The power plant utilizes a drop of 485 meters and has a buried pipeline along a river stretch of about 2 km.
The authorities (the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate) have set a minimum water flow in the summer and during the winter to preserve the environment and landscape.

If the inflow is less than the required minimum water flow, the entire inflow must be passed through. The power plant shall not be in operation in such cases. The power plant must always operate according to the inflow, all changes must occur gradually, and typical start/stop operations should not occur.
The water must be distributed between the western and eastern main channels of Vangjolos, with 100 l/s to be released from the main intake during the summer season (May 1st – September 30th) and 15 l/s during the winter season (October 1st – April 30th).
In the eastern channel, a total of 50 l/s must be released during the summer season (May 1st – September 30th) and 10 l/s during the winter season (October 1st – April 30th).
