Owners
Clemens Kraft has owners with a solid balance and has its origins in deep, Norwegian roots. Our majority owner is The Norwegian Church Endowment with a 50.1 % shareholding in Clemens Kraft. The Norwegian Church Endowment is subject to the Ministry of Children and Family Affairs, and the activity is authorized in section 116 of the Norwegian Constitution. The Norwegian Church Endowment was established in 1821 and manages assets that have historically been linked to the priesthood in Norway, which has managed large forest and land properties.
The remaining 49.9 % of the share capital is owned by CPV/CAP Pension fund Coop (CPV). CPV was founded in 1909 and is the pension fund of the Swiss Coop group with assets of approximately 9 billion Euros under management. CPV has significant investments in renewable energy in solar and wind power in addition to Clemens Kraft being their first hydropower investment.
